A bilingual Chinese and English guide to 24 Lolita brands with documented extended sizing, real catalogue photographs and a practical fit checklist.
Shopping for a plus size Lolita dress often starts with the wrong piece of information: the size label. One brand's 2XL can stop at a 104 cm bust, while another label offers 3XL or custom sizing beyond 130 cm. The letters do not travel well between shops. Measurements do.
LolitaFetch Editorial reviewed size charts and wearer reports for 24 independent Lolita brands. We recorded the largest bust and waist range found for a documented design, then looked at the fit details that those two numbers do not explain. This is a research guide, not a promise that every current release from a listed brand uses the same chart.

What we counted as extended sizing
There is no universal plus size standard in Lolita fashion. We included a brand when at least one documented design offered a broader bust, waist or custom-size range than the label's standard chart. A 4XL tag alone was not enough. We looked for the actual centimeters behind it.
The figures below are the largest measurements we found in the reviewed material. Some are garment maximums and others are recommended body measurements. That distinction matters, so the notes call it out when the source chart was clear.
Chinese shop and brand names are included in the first column so you can recognise the original listings. Several labels trade under a mixed Chinese and English name, so we have kept that form rather than forcing a translation.

Bust measurements from 130 cm
These five labels are the clearest starting point when your bust is above 130 cm. Check whether the number is a body recommendation or a garment maximum, then confirm waist, shoulder and bodice length for the exact dress.

Real catalogue photographs of the garments
The photographs in this article come from the named brands' catalogue archives. They show the fabric, bodice and styling of a specific design. They do not prove how every extended size will fit, and the pictured models should not be read as plus size fit references.
The largest ranges are not always the easiest fits
Prisoner Bird Inn, RainbowCat, Hello Princess and Hezi Jia You Mao Le had the largest measured ranges in this review. That makes them useful starting points for shoppers above a 130 cm bust or near a 120 cm waist. It does not settle the fit question.
A fitted OP with a 140 cm bust can still have a fixed 46 cm shoulder. A high-waisted JSK can close at the waist but place its underbust seam across the fullest part of the bust. A dress can also meet every circumference measurement and still feel too short through the body.
Use the table to find likely brands. Use the product chart to decide whether a particular dress works.
The sleeve problem deserves its own measurement
One of the clearest wearer reports involved a dress with enough room through a bust close to 120 cm. The bodice worked; the sleeves did not. Movement was restricted at the upper arm, and the wearer altered the sleeve construction.
This is common when a brand enlarges the bust and waist but changes the armhole, sleeve head or cuff by a smaller amount. Puff sleeves can look generous in photographs while remaining fitted around the bicep. A detachable sleeve does not guarantee more room either.
For an OP or blouse, ask for:
- upper-arm circumference at the widest point
- cuff or sleeve-opening circumference
- fixed shoulder width
- armhole depth when the bodice is closely fitted
- whether the elastic measurement is unstretched, comfortable or maximum
A shop reply that only says "the fabric stretches" is incomplete. You need to know where it stretches and how far.
OP or JSK: which is easier to fit?
A JSK is often more forgiving because it separates the dress fit from the blouse fit. Full back shirring can adjust at the bust and waist, while adjustable straps help with bodice length. You can then choose a blouse with a shoulder and sleeve cut that works for you.
An OP has fewer escape routes. The shoulder, sleeve, armhole, bust and waist all belong to one garment. If you fall between sizes, the larger OP is usually the safer starting point. This matches one reviewed brand's guidance for shoppers between two rows of its chart.
A JSK does not automatically fit. Check the underbust seam, front bodice width and strap length. If you plan to wear a thick blouse or knit layer, include it in the bust allowance.
Maximum stretch is not the same as a comfortable range
Suppose a shirred bodice is listed as 100 to 120 cm. The lower number may be the unstretched garment and the upper number may be the fabric's limit. Wearing it at 120 cm can flatten gathers, pull side seams forward and change where decorative panels sit.
Whenever possible, collect four pieces of information:
- your body measurement
- the unstretched garment measurement
- the recommended body range
- the maximum stretch
The recommended body range is the useful shopping number. If a seller only provides the maximum, ask how the sample fits on a body close to your measurements.
A real fit case: 105 cm bust, 88 cm waist and 173 cm height
One wearer with a 105 cm bust and 88 cm waist reported a good 2XL fit in a coordinated set. The bust had usable room, and a 32 cm upper arm did not feel compressed. The elastic skirt was easier to fit than the top.
The trade-off appeared in length. At 173 cm, the blouse felt short even though its circumference worked. This is why tall shoppers need shoulder-to-waist length and total bodice length, not just a longer skirt.
On a fitted dress, check where the waist seam is meant to sit. If it rises onto the ribs, the skirt can flare from the wrong point and the bodice may pull upward when you lift your arms.
How to use this brand list without guessing
Start with your body, not a favorite size label. Measure over the undergarments and layers you expect to wear. Keep the tape level and record the result in both centimeters and inches if you buy from several regions.
Next, shortlist brands whose documented ranges leave enough room at your largest relevant measurement. A bust-friendly brand may still have a smaller waist; another may work well for a straighter bust-to-waist ratio. Compare the full row rather than choosing by the single largest number.
Then inspect construction. Full shirring, corset lacing and adjustable straps solve different problems. None of them changes a fixed sleeve opening. Finally, confirm that the size chart belongs to the exact color and production batch you plan to order.
