From one favourite piece to a complete coord

A Lolita coord is an outfit whose pieces work together: the main dress or skirt, its silhouette, and the details around it. This planner helps you make those choices in order. Start with something you love, then give every extra piece a reason to be there.

  1. Choose the dress and the occasion

    Pick a JSK (jumper skirt), an OP (one-piece dress), or a Lolita skirt as your starting point. Consider where you will wear it: a tea party, a long convention day or an everyday outing. A beautiful coordinate should also let you sit, walk and enjoy the occasion.

  2. Pull a small palette from the main piece

    Choose a base colour and one or two accents from the print, trim or fabric. Repeat an accent near your face and again in your shoes or bag to connect the outfit. Cream and white do not always read as the same colour; compare the product photos before choosing a blouse.

  3. Build the layers and silhouette

    For a sleeveless JSK, try a Lolita blouse whose neckline and sleeves suit the bodice. An OP already includes a top, so an extra blouse may not be needed. Compare the skirt shape and length with the petticoat measurements: the support should suit the dress without showing below its hem.

  4. Connect headwear, legwear, shoes and bag

    Try headwear that echoes a colour or motif, then balance it with socks or tights and shoes. Finish with a bag that fits what you need to carry. If the dress is detailed, a simpler supporting piece can give the print room to stand out.

  5. Check the whole look before ordering

    Place your choices side by side and ask whether one colour or detail feels disconnected. Change one piece at a time. A mood board helps with visual balance; it cannot confirm fit, fabric texture or an exact colour match. Check each product’s size chart, included items, availability and delivery information separately.

Do all my pieces need to be the same colour?

No. A repeated accent, trim or motif can connect different colours. Start with a small palette, then add or remove contrast until the whole look feels balanced to you.

Can I plan an outfit around a dress I already own?

Yes. Use your own dress as the starting point for this guide and compare the pieces you are considering alongside it. The canvas uses a selected image library, so your exact dress may not be included.

Does the planner show how an outfit will fit me?

No. A coordinate board is a styling reference. Use the measurements on each product page to assess fit, and check sleeve, shoulder and waist room when planning layers.
