Chinese Lolita Brand Research Methodology
Helpful information for a smoother, clearer LolitaFetch shopping experience.
This page is arranged as part of the LolitaFetch help series so policy and support information stays easy to scan without losing the site's editorial look.
LolitaFetch maintains the Chinese Lolita Brand Directory as an independent research index. We separate brand identity, design archives and current shop availability so an archived label is not presented as currently active.
What we check
Records are matched by brand name, original Chinese name, documented aliases, catalogue relationships and current LolitaFetch vendor data. Named releases are published only when the available record supports the title and brand relationship.
English titles and original names
Brand names retain an original Chinese form where it helps identification. Archive series receive natural English titles only after a semantic review. We do not publish pinyin as an English translation. If a reliable translation is not ready, the original Chinese title remains visible.
Images and external sources
Public brand pages do not link to the third-party research dataset used during staging. Images are stored in Shopify only after a source and usage review; pages without a cleared image use a typography-based fallback.
Editorial status
“Verified catalogue archive” means the page has a structured set of documented release records. “Partial archive record” means a smaller selection has been checked. “Directory record” means identity and classification are present but no named release has passed the public archive review.
Research records are reviewed by LolitaFetch Editorial and updated when better evidence or current shop information becomes available.
